The School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education.  The medium of instruction is English.  Admissions are done in Class VI and they continue upto class XII.  For Class XI and XII there are Science and Commerce Stream.

The school gives more importance to day to day work of the cadets and continuous evaluation.  Regular monthly test are conducted to achieve this.  Terminal Exams are held towards the end of the term.  Promotion of the cadets depends on the aggregate result of all tests/examinations.  The rules and regulations for promotion are framed and followed for annual promotion of the cadets.  Vocational guidance is being provided on latest information on various higher educational courses.

The School has well qualified, experienced and devoted teaching staff.  A teacher's role does not end with a concern towards completion of the School syllabus. The teacher monitors, records and stimulates the performance and attitudes of the cadets. A group of cadets are assigned to a teacher in the role of a guardian to take care of their emotional and personal needs. Remedial classes offer additional opportunities to the cadets lagging behind in their academics. Concerned subject teachers guide the cadets in their houses too.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The School has adapted innovative methods of teaching. We believe that to be successful in academics, sourcing of information-logical documentation and presentation are essential components in the learning process. Cadets are given projects to work on as a group freely & access major source books on their own. They have learnt to organize their ideas logically using computer making presentations etc. The faculty guides them in various aspects of communication such as gestures, postures and eye contact during presentations. For majority of the cadets this is a new experience as naturally they are nervous at the outset and need time to gain confidence.

Besides the routine class presentation, cadets are often given independent projects related to their course. Seminars and debates are held from time to time.

No two children are alike. To help children learn without pressure, every class is divided into three categories Enrichment, Improvement and Excellence. These groups work at their pace and are provided with inputs that match their learning speed. The groups are evaluated individually and cadets who show progress are moved into next higher group.
