INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS Rashtriya Military School Bangalore celebrated the Independence Day with a great patriotic fervour. This was a special celebration as it was the first national festival celebrated in the presence of the new Principal Lt Col Tamojeet Biswas who has assumed the post as the Principal from 09 Sep 2010. It was also a special day for him as he received a GOC-in-C, ARTRAC commendation card for his distinguished service for over 17 years. The program began with the Principal hoisting the tricolor flag followed by National Anthem. The cadets marched on in meticulous squadrons with gaiety saluting the fluttering flag. This was followed by a cultural programme which had many patriotic songs, poems and speeches by the cadets and a distribution of prizes to the supporting staff of the school in recognition of their valuable services. Later, the Principal of the school addressed the cadets on this occasion and reminded them of their duties as the future citizens of India. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets to the cadets followed by tea with the support staff of school.
